This portable Chapin spreader can be used on lawn and turf to spread grass seed, as well as granular materials such as granular pesticides and fertilizers. It is especially useful for spreading in tight, narrow spaces where a push spreader cannot or is too awkward to spread, like along fence lines and over hilly terrain. The container is enclosed to protect your material and keep it dry. A comfortable shoulder strap is adjustable to suit users of many sizes.

The Chapin 8700A Granular Spreader has a unique gate adjustment feature that allows you to control the spread direction, a side baffle that controls the spread width, and a trigger that controls the gate opening size to accommodate a range of different materials.
